Museo del Corallo Ascione

Museo del Corallo Ascione

$0 per person

The Ascione firm has been in the same building in the historical centre of Torre del Greco since 1902. The workshop is still located there. In the impressive salons, one can browse around and in the ancient showcases and windows trace the history of the firm’s activity through the more significant items. Most of all one can “breathe” an almost magic atmosphere – permeated by an inexhaustible lave far one’s work.

In 2000, a new “Ascione”  showroom opened in Naples, in Galleria Umberto, in one of the most beautiful and attractive places in the city, opposite the opera-theatre San Carlo near the Royal Palace, which it has a wonderful view of the Vesuvius. Here you can visit also a museum founded as a tribute to the past of Ascione generations, engaged in this successful activity. It also includes an historic archive museum and artistic section, displaying not only hundreds of jewels as witnesses of coral and cameo manufacturing from 1805 to 1950, but also ancient documents, tools, machinery and pictures which recall and testify the Family’s Journey from more then 150 years ago.
