Museo del Tessile Elena Aldobrandini
The Elena Aldobrandini Textiles and Clothing Museum (Museo del Tessile e dell’Abbigliamento Elena Aldobrandini) is situated in the heart of the Spanish Quarter (Quartieri Spagnoli) at Piazzetta Mondragone. It is a cultural centre designed to promote and enhance the art and production of historic and contemporary textiles and weaving in Campania. The display includes late 18th century altar frontals and holy vestments, lace and embroidery from the early 19th and 20th centuries, gloves, hats and other fashion accessories; since 2003, the collection has included clothes donated by the Neapolitan fashion designer Fausto Sarli, together with the already existing collections of Tullia Passerini Gargiulo and Viva Ferragamo.
