Complesso Monumentale di Santa Chiara

The Monumental complex of Santa Chiara, situated in the historic centre of Naples, is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. It includes a museum (Museo dell’Opera), a large Roman archeological area, 4 cloisters, a library, various rooms and the church of the Clarisse. The breathtaking majolica cloister, designed by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro, portrays Neapolitan landscapes and bucolic scenes, with columns, fountains and benches, all decorated with majolica tiles.
