The Teatro San Carlo is the opera house of Naples. It is one of the most important and prestigious opera houses in the world and the oldest one in Europe that still stages operas. It is situated in Via San Carlo with one side of the building overlooking piazza Trieste e Trento. Architecturally, it bears resemblances to other Bourbon buildings in the city.
