The Museo Pignatelli Cortes, situated in the neoclassical Villa Pignatelli, is one of the very few examples of house-museums in Naples. The park in which the museum is set has large trees and exotic plants as well as rare species and centuries-old specimens. Housed in the former stables of the villa, the Carriage Museum (Museo delle Carrozze) contains an interesting collection that consists of a series of vehicles collected by the marquis over his lifetime. The house-museum contains a series of paintings dating from the 16th to the 20th century by artists such as Battista Dossi, Baldassarre de Caro, Luca Giordano and Francesco Solimena.
